We went for the first appointment yesterday, but it was mainly just filling out forms and answering some questions. There was a little twist with the insurance, apparently. Jen chose the OB from a list of Sutter doctors on the website so we could stay within the Sutter network, but yesterday we discovered that only one (yes, 1) of the doctors at the Sutter Medical Center was contracted through Sutter. We could stay with the doctor she chose, since we have PPO, but went with the contracted Sutter doctor so that we could use the cheaper HMO clauses. Insurance can be so byzantine...
